Climate Change Impacts in Nepal

Nepal is the fourth most vulnerable country in terms of climate risks and 30th in terms of water-induced disaster. Climate change is posing additional threat to Nepal. Nepal's average annual mean temperature has increased by 0.06 degree celsius between 1977 and 2000 and these increases are more pronounced at higher altitudes and in winter. There is a general increase in temperature extremes with warmer days and nights becoming more frequent and cooler days and nights less frequent. A study conducted by Nepal Country Vulnerability Study Team in 2009 has projected that Nepal’s mean annual temperature may rise by 1.4 degree Celsius by 2030, 2.8 degree Celsius by 2060 and by 4.7 degree Celsius by 2090.As the temperature increment 1.5 is in very near future 2030, Nepal needs to be prioritized in terms of Climate change adaptation measures as well as to increase the resilience towards the effect of Climate change. There is general agreement within the climate community that ...

Beliefs and Prosperity

The beliefs, actions, ideas, humor, relations are different for different group of peoples and those groups needed to understand what do they want by themselves regarding their rights and their choice Those choices are sometimes driven by in respective ways according to the situation and time. The system of each group and societies are different. So, the ideology and beliefs of them are also different without doubt. The evolution of the society with respect to time decides the temperament of that particular society. We  and our society needs to be evolved  in such a way that contribution of our society would benefit the adjoining societies later on. That probably needs an awareness and the knowledge of being right and conscious which could benefit the humanity as well to some extent. It may require a simple effort from our own side and we must be conscious of our own actions before anything starts getting better. Everyone has their own role to play to make the community...

Pseudo Democracy

The rights and equality of peoples and development of every sector is the main priority of governing body of any country. To ensure the rights of people and to discard autocracy by abolishing tyranny, many countries in the world had gone through their own level of struggle. In some countries the people’s voice was portrayed in the law and rule of law was efficient whereas in some countries, political chaos and dispute was the outcome. But most of the countries now are practicing democracy. The people’s agendas, duties are represented in the law of the respective countries. Nepal is practicing the federal republic democracy for the first time in our history. Recently, the promulgation of the constitution in Nepal by more than two third constitution assembly members shows the mutual understanding between the parties (though they have prioritized various agendas) to end the transition phase of the country followed by the effect of recent big earthquake. In that sense, the move taken to...

Responsibility of humans and "Earth"

We utilize the natural resources ."We" here refers to the animals that depend upon the natural resources. Unfortunately the population of human beings reached to 7.325 billion as of now and we are still using the available resources directly or indirectly . Many research has suggested that we already had started harming Earth in different ways. We are breaking the nature's cycle and its capability of restoration. And the industrialization and urbanization is at increasing rate. Global warming , Climate change , loss of biodiversity, diseases,  pollution has become  the concern now because of the humans encroachment to pristine natural resources. Above mentioned problems are surely and solely the human impacts that also aids to earth destruction. Conserving the resources  is definitely not always equivalent to the cents and Grants. It requires an urge to use the resource and nature in sustained manner. Responsibility of conserving  Earth and sustaining the nat...

Rights and Laws

Most of the countries have gone through their own level and particular succession of conflicts and struggle. The main reason of the conflicts and imbalance were because of prevalence of disparities among the citizens based on tribes, religion, and region. Poor governance, corruption, improper utilization of power is also other factors for the country’s stability and conflicts. But the theme of any movements is likely to be for the equal rights to all of the people regardless of the geography, color, religion, sex, tribes, within the particular country. But above all Fundamental rights to people is the main ideology behind all the differential unstable phases in almost any country. “Fundamental rights” and “Rule of law” are the basic elements that are required to make any society or country successful or stable. But, Rights to people which are pre- requisite to every citizens of the country should be mandatory. Every peoples and groups are taken equal by the governing system....

Chaotic Notions

This world seems to be organized for everyone and they act accordingly .They ease themselves to be more and more comfortable and organised. But, analyzing the studies from astronomy, the current situation is the result of completely mysterious event and phenomenon. The possibility of this existence of living environment in the Earth with the perfect balance to other Planets, Stars, Galaxies, Universes and even Multiverses is very less. And, mathematically, the probability of the present condition of our Earth might be point several zeros and one. Now, we can easily guess how less is our possibility of existence. Likewise, minimum is our possibility of thinking about anything. It is just beyond explanations. From neutrinos to intensification of Mu...

Identifying "Leaders"

A layman inside any particular boundary who craves for the betterment and prosperity in that particular area without any greed of public fund is the true citizen of the country. The groups of those laymen optimistic towards the future of country are worthwhile for the greatest respect. The respect is given by the public itself and they will stand and reflect themselves as each and every citizen of the country. They plan and organize the activities so well and they are less likely to be engulfed by the wealth of the country. Yes! they are “Leaders”. The short definition might not be enough but that definitely is not the wrong one. The citizens at a position to lead the country are often misguided by their own ideology. They don’t feel like citizens but they start believing themselves as a ruler who can utilize power given to them in the way of filthiness. They will become mate of their own selfish side and drowned totally into corruption. They are “Corrupted Leaders”. Yes both are...

Constitution Game Of Nepal

I don’t want to waffle much in this blog. And I don’t want to be luscious about this burning subject as well. As we know that we are in the process of making new constitution. It seems like constitution is the cynosure these days. We believe that we must be careful in drafting the constitution because it is the voice of every people in our country and it will last for many years. It means we should be visionary in process to come up with the new constitution. We have to do long research of years which we have been doing since many years. But, we have to do this, only if the constitution will be a sustainable one and if it will last for a century. But, we have a bitter experience in the past. We desired new constitution not more than 15 years of time after previous constitution in 2048 has been drafted. Now, we have already spent 15 years in this new process. Constitution making became a conundrum for the representatives of the country.  So, it is simple to understand that if the ...

SAARC Summit Lessons and explanation Sum up.

I observed the SAARC summit recently held in Kathmandu. Head of south Asian countries were satisfied and thanked Nepal as hosting the summit successfully. We also saw the decoration of the valley. The condition of road was perfect for the meeting. Escorting the leaders was outstanding. Indian Prime minister grabs more attention than others. Obviously, he seemed as if one of the influential leaders of Nepal if we analyse the cheerful attitude of Nepali people towards him. Anyway, that is not the focal point of my observation because our country is far more time smaller than India and he was the new emerging and diplomatic leader who influenced by his act almost in the world. Indian prime minister during the visit of SAARC summit said, “We won’t interfere Nepal in constitution making process. As a neighboring country we want Nepal to move ahead and become independent in the future.” This seems very positive but he added, “We are happy by inaugurating the national trauma center in N...

A Desperate Reprimand

In Nepal, we have got uncountable problems. Anyone could point out the problems facing in the country. The delay in constitution making process has become a story from years. The Medias are still shooting the daily episodes of “Constituent Assembly” which has got 601 different characters running to nowhere.  Some of the main characters are making a trip to resorts passing the way of ministry of foreign affairs. They might feel proud of themselves watching those queues and the garbage at the road side. The frustrating situation of the airport, problems on the youth management has become the normal problem. Decentralization of power throughout the country doesn't seems effective. Entrepreneurs and private companies seems to be lacking the facilitation from the government. People have done research of different model of other countries regarding governance style, economic model etc. But implementing those methods has became the problem as there is no proper platform for the applica...
